  • Laramie River Station Tour – tour Basin Electric’s Laramie River Station power plant outside Wheatland, Wyoming.  The Laramie River Station is one of the largest consumer-operated, regional, joint power supply ventures in the United States.  Laramie River Station has three coal-based units: Unit 1: 570 net megawatts; began operating in 1980; Unit 2: 570 net megawatts; began operating in 1981; Unit 3: 570 net megawatts; began operating in 1982.Tour will begin Friday, November 17 at 1:30.  Please e-mail sbroda@yahoo.com for reservations.  Spaces are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first served basis.
  • Wyoming Machinery Tour – tour the Casper Wyoming Machinery store.  Tour will begin Friday, November 17 at 3:00 p.m.   Please e-mail sbroda@yahoo.com for reservations.  Spaces are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first served basis.
  • ITAM Educational Workshop – Past Wheatland FFA Member and current ITAM Coordinator at Camp Guernsey, Dustin Kafka will present a workshop to FFA Members.  The discussion will focus on the why and what ITAM ‎is, how we accomplish our mission, and mostly our use of technology to blend Precision Ag applications with US ARMY land management initiatives.  The Army uses the term sustainability for their training lands and natural resources to achieve maneuver readiness. The use of technology and Precision Ag applications help with decision support in that effort.  Dustin is using state of the art technology (drones, GPS, etc) and will give an insight of how he is using his Rangeland/ENR degree at Camp Guernsey.  The workshop will be in Douglas at 3 p.m.  Please e-mail sbroda@yahoo.com for reservations and workshop location.

Meet Joe Fingerhut!
